The paintings above are from my 2017 journal notes while visiting St. John USVI. I will donate 100% of my proceeds from the prints to St. John Rescue. Follow the link from my About page. Prints are created by Fine Art America.  

We've made 2 trips to St. John and fell in love with the area. We camped at Cinnamon Bay, came home with bug bites, sand in our camping gear, and lots of memories. I create art of some sort on each trip I take. This past year I painted in a journal, on an earlier visit I brought down my oil paints. The time I spend creating a painting etches a memory more vivid than just taking a photo. We made new friends. We enjoyed sand, sun, ocean, and hiking. We even came home with a rescue kitten from the ACC/Canines, Cats & Critters of St. John.

The majority of the island of St. John was destroyed by Irma.  The building I'm painting next to is the archeology building at Cinnamon Bay. It was built in the 1600's. After the hurricane only rubble remains. Most of Cruz Bay is destroyed...reports from across the island are similar. Homes, boats, businesses were destroyed in the storm. St. John faces a long recovery process. St. John Rescue is working to deliver immediate relief to those affected by Irma.
